Abstract

The bilateral quadratic ₇H₇-series is examined and evaluated by making use of the Cauchy residue method. The main theorem presents an analytic formula for this series, which contains ﬁve closed summation formulae as consequences. Just like the classical hypergeometric series, these remarkable formulae should ﬁnd potential applications in pure mathematics and theoretical physics.
